My Top Ten Favorite Movie, well more like a list I just kind of put together

I noticed that last week, many people were tagged to do a list of their 10 favorite movies so I figured I should try to put something together. This was a hard process for me and it is something that could very well change next week. My weekly ten movies are just ten different movies where I try to accomadate to everyone but I make no claims to doing any kind of top ten list so here it goes, I'm sure you'll all disagree but oh well, I tried.

10. A Clockwork Orange (1971): One I just always enjoy, especially the scene where Alex sings SINGIN' IN THE RAIN.

9. Waking the Dead (2000): I really enjoyed this underrated film which gets my attention even more when they play Peter Gabriel's MERCY STREET.

8. King Kong (2005): Please don't take this the wrong way, I love both versions and I really didn't know at first if I would like this one until I saw the interactions of Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) and King Kong and the way that she befriended the big ape.

7. Taxi Driver (1976): Here we have Travis Bickle, one of my favorite characters in film who does everything he can to free innocent Jodie Foster from her pimp when she was 12 and a half. Unfortunately, John Hinckley liked this movie way too much and cited that when trying to kill President Reagon that he was doing it for Jodie.

6. A Better Tomorrow (1986): This will be the only foreign film I include here but I love these early John Woo/Chow Yun-Fat collaborations which influenced a lot of American action films through the years. If all you have seen of Chow is BULLETPROOF MONK and you use that to say "I hate Chow Yun-Fat", just check out his Hong Kong work and you will change your mind.

5. Bubba Ho-Tep (2002): I just couldn't leave this one off, I love this movie. Bruce Campbell plays Elvis and Ossie Davis plays JFK and what's so great is that it's a true story, well besides the mummy part. I feel this is Bruce's best acting performance of his career and he was very good as an aging Elvis.

4. Gladiator (2000): Some people like this and some don't but this one has always had an impact on me and really made me take to Russell Crowe. I love the action, the music, the acting, and everything

3. Moulin Rouge (2001): I really love this movie. I felt that they did a great job of getting modern music into a movie that takes place in the early 1900s. Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman were great as lovers in a forbidden relationship. What is interesting is when I show this to people, they mistake the flamboyant Jim Broadbent character as the villain when he really is not.

2. House of Flying Daggers (2004): I lied about only using one foreign film, I gotta include this one. This is definetly my favorite of those modern-day martial arts films that CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON started and I enjoyed this from beginning to end.

1. The Godfather (1972): You can pretty much put the trilogy here. What else is there to say on this one?

Well, that is what I came up with, I could do this next month and it would probably be quite different so agree and disagree all you want, those are my top ten for now but do you really want a top ten list or would you rather just have those very diverse 10 recommendations? I'm pretty sure you want the recommendations where numbering off from 1 to 10 is totally unnecessary so if you don't like these, maybe you'll like what I have on saturday night. I'll give you all a preview of what to expect next week, we have a movie originally rated X, and we have Hitchcock
