Noirvember: Gaslight- Week 1

This is the first week of our new contest that continues from the Madness.  This is a new contest that focuses on the world of Film Noir and everything around it.  I never realized how broad Noir really is and intend to make some unusual selections.  This will be a similar format that we do with the Madness and these will come out on Tuesdays this month.

ALFRED HITCHCOCK

Alfred is not a wild card but is a big part of this contest so I gave the Master of Suspense his category

Alfred Hitchcock Presents:  A Little Sleep Season 2, Episode 38 (1957, 66 1/2):  Bored rich girl decides to go up to her cabin in the mountains and comes to wish she would just stay home.  This was a very popular anthology series which was always hosted by Alfred himself in his usual opening line of "good evening" and would always end the episode with a message of sorts.
-25 minutes

Psycho (1960, 666 1/2):  This has a good amount of mystery to it to qualify.  Hitchcock directed this psychological thriller and one of the closer films he did to actual horror.  This is a story about a mother and his son and man's best friend is his mother.
-109 minutes
-Based on novel by Robert Bloch
-Basement
-Suitcase of money
