The Madness: Goes Back 2 School- Week 2

This is week two of the crazy contest.  This is separate from My Own Madness where they have different rules from my own.

ASHLEY SCOTT

Ashley is not a wild card but she does have some shows that qualify her for a category.

Birds of Prey:  Sins of the Mother S1, E5 (2002, 41 minutes, 666):  Ashley stars in this series as Helena Kyle aka Huntress whose parents are the missing Batman and murdered Catwoman.  Lori Loughlin guest stars as the Black Canary Carolyn Lance who is Dinah's mother.
-Mentor in Barbara

Dark Angel:  Designate This (2001, 42 minutes, 666):  Ashley plays the role of Asha who is part of a resistance type group.  This is the premier of the second season where Max tries to escape from Manticore.
-Secret society ran by Eyes Only?

The Flash:  Crisis on Infinite Earths:  Part Three S6, E9 (2019, 42 minutes, 666):  Ashley has a cameo appearance as Helena in this episode of the series.  John Wesley Shipp also reprises his role of Barry Allen from the 1990 series THE FLASH.

__________________________________________

BILL MURRAY

Bill is not a wild card but has a couple movies that were on my list that I decided to use.

Little Shop of Horrors (1986, 94 minutes, 666 1/2):  Bill has a cameo as the masochistic dental patient who loves pain much to the dismay of Orin.  This is the director's cut of the movie which is the on.y one I want to see now.

Space Jam (1996, 88 minutes, 666):  Bill plays himself in this movie of Looney Tunes, Michael Jordan, and basketball.  He helps Jordan and the Looney Team take on a group of aliens trying to enslave the Looney Tunes.  This should count pretty easy as a creature feature.
-Jordan as a mentor?

BRAD DOURIF

Brad is not a wild card but has been one in the past.  He is an icon in the world of horror so he gets a category.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D:  End of the Beginning S1, E16 (2014, 45 minutes, 666):  Brad guest stars in this episode as Thomas Nash who claims to be the Clairvoyant.  Some episodes may not count for the Madness.  I believe with the character of Mike Peterson becoming the cyborg Deathlok that this should count due to his very deadly ways.

Child's Play (1988, 87 minutes, 666):  Brad plays the serial killer Charles Lee Ray who dies but transfers himself into a doll.  This is the start of a successful franchise and what makes Brad into an icon.

Turbulent Skies (2010, 82 minutes, 66):  Brad stars in this tv movie as Richard Devain whose technology on the plane to fly itself contracts a virus putting everyone in jeopardy.  I admit, I watched this more for my middle school crush Nicole Eggert.  This is not really horror, but I believe the virus in the technology should make this dark enough sci-fi to count for this contest.

The X-Files:  Beyond the Sea S1, E13 (1994, 44 minutes, 666):  Brad guest stars in this episode as death row inmate Luther Lee Boggs.  He also claims to be a psychic and might have some important information if they can get him a permanent stay of execution.
__________________________________________

BRUCE CAMPBELL

I bring a little more of the wild card Bruce so anything he has been in counts.

Burn Notice:  Signals and Codes S3, E5 (2009, 42 minutes):  Bruce plays Sam Axe in this series and trying to help his friend Michael get cleared from the "burn".  They help a mentally disturbed man who has credible evidence of someone sending encrypted messages that reveal the names of operatives.
-ATB for Bruce Campbell

-

Within the Woods (1978, 20 minutes):  This was a very early short film for Bruce and Sam Raimi and as mentioned in the recommendations section might have been the start of the EVIL DEAD franchise.
-ATB for Bruce Campbell

Cate is not a wild card this year but has some worthy selections on my list.

Rumours (2024, 104 minutes, 66 1/2):  Cate stars as Hilda Ortmann in this horror comedy which features a group of seven wealthy democracies getting together in the woods while drafting a statement on a global crisis as they face a lot of danger.
-Maybe a secret society

Thor:  Ragnorok (2017, 130 minutes, 666 1/2):  Cate plays Thor's evil sister Hela who is Thor's most difficult foe yet.

Tales from the Crypt:  King of the Road S4, E9 (1992, 28 minutes, 66 1/2):  This is a very early part of Brad's career when he guest stars on this anthology series.  He plays hot rodder Billy who romances the sheriff's daughter and threatens to expose his past.  I put this in the Creature Features on account of the Cryptkeeper.

__________________________________________

DEMI MOORE

Demi is not a wild card but with her recent horror turn, I made her into a category.

Ghost (1990, 126 minutes, 666):  Demi's boyfriend is murdered and his ghostly self tries to warn her with the help of a psychic.

The Substance (2024, 141 minutes, 666):  Demi plays a washed-up actress in this body horror film.  Description is above, interesting satire on aging and fame.

GENE HACKMAN

Gene is a wild card this year in the Madness where they focused on people who passed in 2025 and fit out theme so anything gene was in counts this year.

Wyatt Earp (1994, 191 minutes, 666):  Gene plays Wyatt's father Nicholas Earp in this western epic which counts this year for the Madness.
-ATB for Gene

JEWEL STAITE

Jewell is not a wild card but she fit into my scheme so she became a category.

Firefly:  Safe S1, E5 (2002, 43 minutes, 666):  Jewel co-stars in this sci-fi series as Kaylee.  Simon and River are kidnapped and end up in a remote village forcing Mal to make a difficult choice.  River is suspected of being a witch and is tied to a tree, maybe I can argue that for a point

-The group of friends could be a secret society as they form a pact to cover up a death.

The X-Files:  Oubliette S3, E8 (1995, 44 minutes, 666):  Jewel guest stars in this episode as kidnap victim Amy Jacobs.  Mulder believes that the previous victim has a psychic connection and hopes she will be able to save Amy.

Kathryn is not a wild card but has a couple worthy selections to become a category.

LIVE EVENTS

The Da Vinci Code (2025):  This was a play performed at Muncie Civic Theater.  I believe the cult element and the religious factors could make this qualify.

Charmed:  They're Everywhere S2, E7 (1999, 42 minutes, 666):  A young Misha guest stars in this episode as Eric who is being hunted down by a group of warlocks.

Supernatural:  The Third Man S6, E3 (2010, 42 minutes, 666):  Misha played the role of the angel Castiel in this popular series.  Castiel tries to help the brothers investigate the deaths of three policemen who were struck down by the "Staff of Moses".
